  • Aoki Mokubei (1767-1833) was a famed Kyoto potter who worked in many styles based on Chinese glazes. His works focused on wares for sencha and this book from the 28 volume series looks at 130 pieces all in color photos. A detailed essay on Mokubei also features many B&W photos, fold out page of signatures and seals, and signed boxes, glossary, comments on works, biography, and list of works (this is also in English) conclude the book.
